Des Moines to Dubuque

Saturday:

• start off in Pella w/some authentic "dutch letters" from Jaarsma Bakery & plan to tiptoe thru the tulips

• check out the working Vermeer Windmill & learn more about Pella history

• head to Iowa City for deliciousness @ NODO and after explore the Deonian Fossil Gorge!

• last stop for the night is Dubuque: check in at the Hotel Julien Dubuque

• If you can squeeze it in, take a ride on the Fenelon Place Elevator and grab a bite to eat

Sunday

• grab breakfast grub at the hotel restaurant and walk on over to the National Mississippi River Museum

• grab a bite at the Copper Kettle before heading home

• if you are baseball fans, be sure to stop in Dyersville & check out the Field of Dreams

• Cup of Joe in Cedar Falls can be one last stop if you want to fit in a little 1950s fun!!
