Is there a true jet-setter in the family or, at least, someone that longs to be? Do you know someone setting off to study abroad or someone that just loves the road? There are so many great gadgets and gifts for the traveler in your life. Here are some great travel gift ideas for the road weary or the road warriors or those with wanderlust in your world:

1. Scratch map: just like the lottery tickets, you scratch off where you have been- maybe with a foreign coin ;) Here is a website to check out all the best scratch maps: http://brilliantmaps.com/scratch-map/

2. Travel packing cubes keep everything organized and are said to allow more stuff in less space: http://www.ebags.com/category/travel-accessories/packing-aids/packing-cubes
3. Globes, maps or Atlases...oh my!!
4. Booties to comfort your sole. Moccasins, Muk Luks or slippers that are easy to slip off at the airport and slip on in your hotel.

5. Jewelry made for the traveler: a necklace with home's latitude and longitude or your state, passport earrings, compass cufflinks, a watch with different time zones or some other accessory to love, such as a passport cover.
6. A great travel book. One of my very favorites is Road Trip USA:Cross-Country Adventures on America's Two-Lane Highways by Jamie Jensen, a book that shares all the little roadside attractions and sites to see. This year on my list is Atlas Obscura, an off the beaten path that covers totally unique places all over the world.

7. A great travel journal. Something with blank pages and a beautiful cover or one with conversion charts and fun pictures, spots for lists and postcard like daily musings, such as En Route:A Journal.
8. A great set of earbuds or headphones for the long waits and long flights. Earbuds are like sharp pencils and scissors around my house and can be hard to find, but the right headphones in a carry on, well that would work for me. Bose, of course, gets high ratings!

9. A subscription to Audible or some Amazon gift cards so that stories can be devoured in the void of time. You could even be old fashioned and buy actual books to that the traveller can hold in their hands. iTunes cards so movies can be loaded up pre-trip!

10. A super comfy but compact pillow and travel blanket that is just right for your wanderer.
